Corporate History

Soon after the Second World War, the newly established Elesa started to produce a series of handles, knobs and standard hand wheels for industrial machines, using original design concepts.

In 1960 came standardization. The intuition of company founders was to establish, for the first time in this sector, significant "product standardization." With this initiative, the parameters which all the manufacturers and users of operating and control manual elements for machines would refer to, were set.

With its first appearance at the major European exhibitions of machine tools, ELESA laid the foundation for its entry to the international scene.

With a focus on globalization, Elesa established strategic partnerships with the most qualified distributors worldwide and then founded its own branch offices in the UK, France, USA, Sweden, Austria, Spain, Poland, China and Czech Republic.

"Ergonomy + design = quality" gave birth to the distinguished Ergostyle® by ELESA line, which has received awards from the most distinguished international juries for industrial design.

At the dawn of the 21st century, the growing and more sophisticated requests from the market have led Elesa to both extend the range of its standard items and to develop new technical solutions to satisfy the specific requests of each customer. Many "New Generation" product lines are therefore introduced: some of the standard items are proposed in special materials produced by the most advanced technologies.
