CFU 270° hinges with adjustable friction

CFU series hinge with adjustable friction

Hinges tend to be simple things, but occasionally a company such as Elesa comes along with a really useful and rather different idea. In this case a screw adjustable friction setting, which allows users to set the opening force of the door so that it may stay partially open, or will dampen down the action of the wind in outdoor situations.

The Elesa CFU series hinges are manufactured in black technopolymer with a rotation range of 270°. Friction adjustment is simply achieved by operation of a centrally mounted screw – clockwise for more friction, anti-clockwise for less. A simple but clever extension to the expected features of normal hinges.
